Ryo-ohki hatched from an egg in episode 3 of the OAV. Ryo-ohki is the pet and spaceship of Ryoko, but she took a liking to Sasami. When thrown into the air Ryo-ohki can convert into a ship as well as other things. This is because Ryo-ohki is made from 'Mass'. Mass is the original element of all things. In Tenchi In Tokyo, Ryo-ohki is the pet of Sasami. Ryo-ohki is obsessed with carrots and will do anything for them.
